Kayla Daniel

1) What do you do for a living?

I am a full time student, working towards my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I also work part-time at an after-school program.

2)What is the most played song on your iPod?

To my surprise and delight, the most listened to song in recent years is "Eternity's Dawn", which was written and performed by my friend, Braden Scharfenberg!

3)What led you to become a leader?

I have largely benefitted from having mentors in my life for certain periods of time, and simply wanted to return the favour. I value giving back to others, helping out in some way, whether it is within the church or outside of it. I believe in the church being a pseudo-family. Ultimately, I am motivated to do what I can, with what I have, where I am.

4)What is the best purchase you've ever made under $5.00?

I am fairly certain that I would need several days to accurately answer this question, so for kicks, here are a few, random under $5 purchases that I prize: a red fleece scarf (under $2, bought in...Florida! Ha!), Paper Mate Inkjoy gel .07 pen (I love a good pen), notebooks with various designs (a $1 each from Target!), sunglasses (now broken), my beloved arrow necklace, and lots of different music! If you can't tell, I'm a thrifty one!

5)Outside of Church, where can we find you?

You can find me at home, usually busy with school work, or at work. I also enjoy being in the great outdoors. In particular, I find pleasure in snapping pictures of nature's wonders, getting in some archery practice, or enjoying a good fire. I also love listening to and creating music, reading fiction novels, and playing card games.
